New is Ithemba!

Ithemba, the fourth project in Port Elizabeth that is being supported by Be-More is starting!  Martijn and Michel had the privilige to visit Ithemba, spend some time with the kids and talk to the staff, all are very much looking forward to having the first volunteers.
Ithemba has 4 different groups, all with 11 children of which all are severely to profoundly mentally handicaped  and some have fysical handicaps as well. The joy and happiness of these kids is impressive, only little things can make their day and yours as well. They learn to do things that look simple to us, but sometimes big challenges for themselves like colouring, going to the toilet independently, social skills, eating by themselves and many other basic education that will improve their capabilities and quality of life.
Ithemba has a building that is in great need of the necessairy fixing and patching up and has a big garden that could be the centre of enjoyment for the children, but has been neglected for some time. All help in that regard would be appreciated and with the help of the children can be very therapeutical and produce vegetables to supply with the necessairy vitamines as well.
