Going strong!

The volunteers Bianca, Jackie, Maartje and Coen are going strong!
They have been working at the vegetable garden which was more stone then garden, but with some creativity and a lot of hard work a nice boundary wall has been made from cement, all the stones and the help of some of the boys.
Some bunkbeds have been bought for the new 7 kids that will be coming in. Super!
The floors are finished, it lokks great in the May Holland Hall.
Finally the time has come, but R is going for his eye operation on the 4th of April. This will change his looks for the rest of his life and thanks to everybody who helped financially to make this happen.
A new sign for the outside of the building is a new plan and getting all the boys to a proper dentist. One boy has no front teeth, as pulling is cheaper then fixing and plans are being made to get him proper dental care to have some new teeth again!
The holidays are coming up and Coen is looking at some nice activities to enjoy the holidays with the boys that will be there at LH. Most will be going to family or foster families for two weeks, but for some there is unfortunately no place to go. Otherwise the holiday period will be used to support one of the daycare centres linked to LH.
As a goodbye party a Dutch afternoon has been planned with some good old fashion 'spijker poepen', 'eieren race', 'snoep happen' and many more typical Dutch activities. We are looking forward to seeing the volunteers on clogs and traditional clothing, but maybe that is just wishfull thinking!
