Purchase of new house - episode 1
Well my volunteers this month are deffinately on the ball with their web logs, and unfortunately spread the news before I had a chance to let everybody know. Well here goes the first episode of the purchase of a new house.
A little while ago both the houses on the opposite side of the road from Isiaiah were up for sale. At about the same time we were given a wonderful donation by Anneke Costers daughter, which set us on the road to either build onto our house or buy property.
Well with the vision of owning all the houses in the road, the thought crossed my mind that 'we could start the village which we have had in our business plan 14 years ago.
I immidiately contacted Michel, and started negotiations. Went for a walk in the road and in prayer claimed both houses, only to hear the next day that an offer of purchase had been put in for both houses, jokingly I said to the lady giving me the information, "they won't be able to sell these houses, they are mine I have claimed them", she looked at me and said 'oh no the deal signed on our house (the first one on the corner) is a dead certain deal'. I just smiled and said "ok, we will see".
That was the wednesday, the friday I get a phone call from the lady 'deal on the other house has fallen through, go and speak to the people', well jubilation and proof of our faith. 4 days later another phone call "the deal on our house has also fallen through, if you want the house you have first option".
Well you can all imagine, when I am excited I don't jump around I SCREAM. Everybody was running to see what had happened, then I could not speak (a very unusual occurrance). When I eventually got my words back out it came.
Then the negotiations heated up, e-mails back and forth, questions asked and answered. The answer came, YES WE CAN BUY THE FIRST HOUSE. Well here we go our first house in our future village. SCREEEEEEEEEM...........

Congratulations! So it seems dreams can become reality sometimes :) I hope, with the help of all the Isiaiah volunteers, the village becomes a beautiful place where you all can keep on doing your great work and support a lot of people who need a little help in their lives.
Hope to see the house(s) myself at the end of the year. Looking forward already!

O Glynnis, congratulations, congratulations, congratulations! To you and every one at Isiaiah! This is absolutely wonderful news :) I just wish I'd been there to see you at a loss for words. I can imagine you're over the moon, looks like your genie in a bottle is definitely pulling some strings :p
