Exciting programme in Bayview

How do you create a better atmosphere in a dilapidated school, where everything is broken, ugly and dull? Where the teachers and learners do not 'really' interact? Where learners say to any questions the teacher asks: "Yes teacher" whether they understand the topic or not?
We start with an interaction between the teacher and the learners of one classroom. What is their wishlist to improve in the classroom? Then you slowly see a change in the faces of the learners.... lots of ideas, lots of creative solutions. One can only realize how much potential there is in all these learners!

Now Ready 4 Life is going to choose and select; not everything can be done. But what we can do: look at this list. Paint the walls, create a name corner, sand and paint the desks, upgrade the cupboard, maybe sow curtains, cut out Math formulas, write tables on paper and hang these on the wall. That dull classroom will go through a difference that it will have to impact on the atmosphere in the classroom.

Now this class is in competition with 3 other classrooms. The learners are all excited; they want to win and the spirits are hight.

There must be learners now who get up in the morning and are excited to go to school. The teacher now works with learners who are excited. What a change!!!
