"das nou pragtig...."

In Back 2 School a new landmark has been achieved; we now have 2 painted happy classrooms in Helenvale primary that we can use. There are working lights, a tv, a fridge and lots and lots of books, plays and games. The yellow colour in the 2nd classroom is a warm colour; so at the moment you enter the room it is a pleasant atmosphere. With butterflies of paper made by the learners, letters and numbers painted on the walls it all makes it very comfy. Lovely curtains as well!!! If only all classrooms could be like this one....

This has been achieved by Jelly and Lieke, ofcourse project leader Franklin, Bridget and Rulene. But even the daughter of our Project Leader Shaleen assists and her friend Megan. And let us not forget the most important ones: the learners. Their pride in the classroom was so tangible and visible. Well done to all.
Now the holidays start and we start with the holiday programme. And then, after the 2 weeks holidays, we will go full speed ahead!

So happy for everyone of B2S and all the learners!! I think the beautifull classrooms with a positive atmosphere is such an important step for B2S!
Can't wait to see it myself.

It is soooo touching to read how well the B2S project is doing! How devoted all people are!!!
It is wonderful to read how the classrooms have been improved! I also hope to see it myself asap!

Wonderful to hear that you're making big steps forward. Another milestone in the R4L back 2 school program is a fact. With the extension of a second classroom, you can operate the expansion of the project. It's like a new start for the projects! I can't wait to see pictures of the classrooms. I bet every (former) volunteer can be proud of the developments. Keep up the good work!
