Dear all,
Dream Centre has let us know what has happened with donations over the past few months. Here is a short overview:
- Walking aids for the patients' mobility: sticks, quad sticks and rollators
- Payment towards the hot water system has been made; the system should arrive before the end of July. Installation will take an additional two months, so the system will be operational no later than end of September. This system will mean that adequate hot water will be available at all times for the patient - and the volunteers.
- The pyama/gown project has been finished. In total, 500 pyamas and 120 gowns have been ordered, most of which have been delivered.
- About R 2,000 has been spent on diversional therapy: bingo, artwork, beading, movie night, etc). Volunteers have been very active in these therapeutic acitivities, and Dream Centre will continue this program with future volunteer groups.
In addition to this, seperate projects have been carried out by volunteers in June, including a music system for DC's chapel.
That's it for now, some pictures are below!
