Volunteers make it happen
It is great to see how much can be done in only 4 weeks. Time flies and 4 weeks are so short, but the current volunteers have not wasted any time by getting the most out of their time here.
They have supported Ithemba with a computer, a laminating machine, toys and playcorners for the differnt classes, took the kids to the cinema (for most the first time in their lives) and have given all the extra attention these kids need and love to get.

Yes, we agree with you. FLoor, Kyara and Chantal have been like a roller coasters, never pausing. From our point of view their goal was to see every Ithemba child happy, smiling and for them to know they are special and loved. They have worked hard and full out on their project, and we believe have completed what they came out to achieve. Added to that, they have been great to have in PE and a real blessing to all they have met. We honor them for what they have done and we wish them all the best for the future.

Hey everybody!
Thanks alot for all these sweet words! Although it sometimes feld like we where only able to do just a little bit: It was amazing to be here, work with these lovely kids. They all have there disabilities, but it is your challenge to find their possibilities, and to trigger them to learn and smile!
The most of these kids are going trough a hard time at home, and Ithemba is just a nice place, where they can calm down and 'just' have fun. The energy from new vollunteers makes their day even better.
We hope everybody who doubts to go to Ithemba will be convinced after our weblogs. The kids need your attention, skills and happinness.
We loves our stay at Ithemba and with our South African Mom and Dad Peter and Daphne. Thanks for everything...
