en2 years and then it happened

5 years ago I saw this property which was vacant and had been for 4 years before that, a total of nine years vacant this year.  It took me 4 years to eventually find out who owned the house, literally walking from floor to floor of a 23 story building asking until someone was kind enough to help me.

On the 6th October 2006 I received a letter to say that the department whom I was dealing with had decided that we could have the house.

Well on the 6th October 2008, I received the keys, to what is going to be our Abused Womens Sanctuary.  We now have the "little yellow house" and the "bright yellow house". (See pictures below).

We are very excited, never mind that everything is happening at the same time, stressed, but excited.

We have also been given an extremely good rental, which we have a donor who is going to pay this for us. We are truly blessed.

This weekend we will be putting up the curtains, we also have to apply for the lights to be put on, then away we go.

More news soon about the "little yellow house" and the "bright yellow house".
