As a brand-new ambassador of Ready 4 Life Back 2 School it’s my turn now to write an update about Helenvale! ! Since there is school holiday now in South Africa the regular Back 2 School program is on a lower level and the main focus now is to entertain and edu-tain the children of Helenvale during the school holidays. The last few weeks the volunteers of B2S  / Holiday Program worked hard on a lots of things, from face painting to class-room painting! Together with the volunteers the children are helping to get a beautiful art & culture classroom. So good to read about this succesfull cooperation.

The children also got visits from different services like the police-, ambulance- and fire-department. They showed the children what they do and why they are so important. Also computers lessons to the teachers and reading lessons (in Afrikaans!) to the children were scheduled… I think the volunteers’ dutch transformed to Afrikaans now! ;-) 

And more good news… Back 2 School is looking for opportunities to start the program another primary school in the township Kleinschool as well! What a great news that such an important program is so successful!
