update Agape

Dear all,

It has been a while since I have posted a message on the community site about Agape, but this does not mean that nothing has happened! 

One of the volunteers of februari 2009 has made it possible that once every week a counsellor is coming to Agape. This woman, Zama, will be the person the children can go to when they have emotionol problems or want to talk about anything that concerns them. This will all take place in a room specially decorated for this purpose (see first of the added pictures). Let's hope this will give the children even more the feeling that Agape really is a place where every child is accepted the way they are and helped the way they need!

Next to that, this months volunteers are working hard to make the room for the special need children more fun and a more child friendly place. The walls have been painted, new toys and furniture have arrived/ should be arriving within a few days. The children and aunties are very happy about this project! I can imagine that the care of the special need children will be more fun which automatically could lead to a better development of these children at Agape. I have added some pictures of what it looked like before and what it lookes like now, maybe the volunteers will send another few when they are completely finished.
